Hennessey’s town board approved a July 8 request to close Oklahoma Avenue west of Main Street for a Farmers’ Market.
That side street is west of the stoplight.
Traffic accident
The following traffic accident is being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:
June 26, 9:56 p.m. - At West Bowman Avenue and U.S. 81.
Mario Rojas, 57, Oklahoma City, driving a 2006 Honda Pilot, was southbound on U.S. 81 near the intersection of Bowman Avenue.

June 23 - Possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of firearm by felon, maintaining place for keeping/selling controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Old medical clinic to become new HD home
Kingfisher County Commissioners approved a purchase contract for a new home for the Kingfisher County Health Department at their weekly meeting Monday.
The $250,000 purchase price for a location at 421 W. Bowman Ave.
CLOVERBUD CLEANUP
CLOVERBUD CLEANUP — Kingfisher Cloverbuds, led by Kayla Meyer, spent about 30 minutes picking up 20 pounds of trash in and around the ball fields at Briscoe Park in Kingfisher. After filling their bags, club members enjoyed a game of kickball as a reward for their efforts.
