Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce, City of Kingfisher and area volunteers knocked another event out of the park last week with an Independence Day celebration that drew more than 1,000 visitors to the city.

KIDS OF ALL AGES turned out for Kingfisher’s Fourth of July Parade on Saturday.

In the heart of Kingfisher County, the small town of Dover welcomes visitors as well as community members to step into the past, enjoy the colorful scenery and create a few memories of their own at the nostalgic display along U.S. Highway 81.

Parents may want to wait before purchasing back-to-school clothing for their Kingfisher Public Schools students. The Kingfisher Board of Education was split last Tuesday in approving an updated dress code in the handbooks for the middle and high schools.

The Center of Family Love (CFL) recently celebrated its 40th anniversary by raising over $860,000 during the organization’s Gift of Love Virtual Celebration. The event, held June 19, was the eighth in CFL’s history.

Morgan Kylee Renbarger of Calumet and Kyle Douglas Jech of Kingfisher were united in marriage on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at a 6 p.m. ceremony at the First Christian Church of Kingfisher. The Reverend Keith Weldon of Alex officiated the ceremony.

Hensley Stafford Hensley Stafford is the daughter of Jeremy and Shawna Stafford. She’s 8 years old and will be in third grade this fall. This is her first year as a Cloverbud. When she’s outdoors, Hensley likes to swing and play with dogs. Indoors, she prefers to play on her iPad.

Kingfisher County Extension hosted a cooking workshop for local students ages 8-18 and enrolled in 4-H. The six-hour workshop was held July 1 at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds. Lindy Peterman, the FCS educator, was the instructor and provided materials for the class.
