Annual duck race caps off local 4th
Kingfisher Educational Foundation’s Duck Race has become an annual event in Kingfisher’s extended July 4 activities.
This year’s race is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at Vernie Snow Aquatic Center.

KPS board hires ass’t principal, fills other posts
A number of new hires and a handful of resignations were accepted last Tuesday by the Kingfisher Board of Education.
The board was holding the final meeting of fiscal year 2020-21.
KMS students attend SWOSU band camp
Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s annual Middle School Band Camp attracted nearly 300 students. The camp for students who have completed fifth-seventh grades was held June 27-30 on the Weatherford campus.

Sunrise Oilfield Supply opening first Oklahoma store in Hennessey
Sunrise Oilfield Supply, headquartered in Wichita, Kan., will open its first store in Oklahoma on Tuesday, July 6, in Hennessey;
The store, which provides full-service oilfield needs, is located at 106 E. Jack Choate Ave. in Hennessey, former location of WB Supply.
