Kingfisher County Extension on June 1 hosted a babysitting workshop for county youth 11 years old and up. The six-hour class was held at the Kingfisher County Extension Office.

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: May 8, 2:40 p.m. - At Seventh Street and Oklahoma Avenue. Caitlin Snyder, 19, Loyal, driving a 2015 Dodge Charger, was northbound on Seventh Street near the intersection of West Oklahoma Avenue.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University will now offer face-to-face New Student Orientation sessions for incoming freshmen on the Weatherford campus. The sessions will allow soon-to-be SWOSU freshmen the opportunity to enroll for the 2021 fall semester.

Longtime Kingfisher florist, business leader and downtown retail promoter Dennis Mueggenborg was inducted into the Kingfisher High School Hall of Fame during this year’s graduation ceremony. The son of Elaine and the late Vernon Mueggenborg of Kingfisher, Mueggenborg graduated from KHS in 1977.
