Current members and other want-to-be 2026 members of the Hennessey Senior Citizens are asked to attend an organizational meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10.It will be held at the former center (620 East 2nd St.) which is now owned by the Town of Hennessey.

Kingfisher County Commissioners called an election for the county fair board Monday at their weekly meeting.The election will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the courthouse lobby in Kingfisher.Three board members’ terms are up this year, one from each commissioner district.

Only a small amount of the county’s $47,125,305 ad valorem tax bill had been paid through Thursday, County Treasurer Robin Rother reports.A total of $4,531 has been received at the county treasurer’s office since tax rolls opened for payment in mid-November.
