Duane Fike

Duane John Fike was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Okeene. He passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, at his home in Kingfisher at the age of 85. He served in the Korean War from 1954-1956 and received an honorable discharge from the Marines. He worked at Western Electric for 31 years as an installer.

Margie Thompson

Services are pending for Margie Lou Thompson, 79, Hennessey. Margie was born Dec. 25, 1940, in Loyal to Orville “Son” and Marcella Garms Turner and died Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid. Margie married Melvin E. Thompson in Hennessey on June 3, 1960.

Dakota Conner

Dakota James Conner was born July 17, 2020, to Justin and Michelle Conner. Dakota was an answer to all their prayers. In his short time on earth, Dakota loved our Oklahoma warm weather, mommy and daddy’s cuddles and his brother’s comforting touch.

Debra Wickens

Debra Wickens, 65, passed away Aug. 21, 2020. Services are pending with Wilson Funeral Home-Kingfisher.

Karen Ondak

Karen Sue Ondak, 68, formerly of Powell, Wyo., passed away Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, in Tulsa with her daughters at her side. Karen was born Jan. 7, 1952, at War Memorial Hospital in Powell, Wyoming. She was the middle of three children born to Imogene and Glennis Montgomery.

Samuel ‘Sam’ Forman

Samuel Allen Forman, 31, was born on Sept. 18, 1988, and got his “Angel Wings” too soon, passing away Aug. 7, 2020, at his home in Huntington Beach, Calif., due to complications from COVID-19 he’d already beat. Samuel was born and raised in Kingfisher and had three older brothers and two sisters.

Martha McCarty

Martha McCarty of Yukon passed away July 29, 2020, surrounded by her family. She proudly referred to her daughters as “my four girls”: Kimberly McNeill of Newalla, Lisa Hatcher of Yukon, Donna Fulton of Yukon and Tiffany Gilles and her husband Brian of Kingfisher.

Samuel ‘Sam’ Forman

Samuel Allen Forman, 31, was born on Sept. 18, 1988, and got his “Angel Wings” too soon, passing away Aug. 7, 2020, at his home in Huntington Beach, Calif., due to complications from COVID-19 he’d already beat. Samuel was born and raised in Kingfisher and had three older brothers and two sisters.

Alvin Stribel, Jr.

Alvin Leo Stribel, Jr., Hennessey, 81, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020. He was born Sept. 9, 1938, to Alvin and Golda Stribel. Alvin was raised on the family farm in Hennessey where he attended school and would live throughout his life.

Kreede Schwarz

Kreede Louis Schwarz was born March 11, 2019, to his loving parents, Daniel and Brittany Schwarz of Okarche. He had the biggest blue eyes and blondest hair. From the day Kreede was born, he was a busy boy. He spent his days helping his daddy on their farm.
