Leo Turner was born on May 3, 1935, in Crescent by a midwife. He was born to Joseph (Dotie) and Vada Turner, one of six children.He was raised in Kingfisher by Calvin and Effie Turner after moving from Kansas at a very young age. He attended and graduated from the old Douglas School.

James A. Gilmour passed peacefully Dec. 29, 2021, at 91 years of age after a strong battle with metastatic prostate cancer.

David O. Kochenower was born March 19, 1949, in Okarche to Billy and LaDonna Kochenower and passed away Dec. 29, 2021 in Dallas, Texas.David graduated from Kingfisher High School in May 1967.1967.

Kenneth Theodore Tipton, 92, of Okarche, passed away on Jan. 1, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher after experiencing declining health over the last few years.He was born Sept. 20, 1929, near Fairland to George Wallace Tipton and Lucy Evalena (Harbaugh) Tipton.

Geraldine “Gerri” Ann (Couchman) Barrow, 80, passed away Dec. 25, 2021, at Sunset Estates in Purcell.She was born to Archie and Mildred Couchman on June 6, 1941, in Okeene.Gerri grew up in Okeene and graduated from Okeene High School.
