COUNTYALL-STATE – The Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State games wrapped up Thursday night with the annual football game held at Chad Richison Stadium at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

OSSAA releases prelim ADM numbers

The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association on Thursday released the tenative numbers that are used to determine classifications in various sports.The OSSAA uses schools’ average daily membership (ADM) to set those classes.

Academics. Football. Golf. Class projects. It requires a versatile student to not just take part in all of those high school functions, but excel in each of them. Cale Reagan was one such student. He did it so well, in fact, he was voted the 2026 Kingfi sher High School Student of the Year.

County teams still battling in state baseball tournaments

Both Kingfisher County teams remained in the hunt going into the third day of the OK Kids 12-under state baseball tournament.The Kingfisher Jackets and Hennessey Eagles both played elimination games at 3 p.m. Friday in Weatherford (after press time of this edition).

This week marks dead period for schools, athletes

The fast and furious month that is June for junior high and high school athletes will end with a break.A mandated one. At least as far as schools are concerned.The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association mandates a nineday dead period each year.
