OSSAA announces football state championship game dates, times

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association on Tuesday announced game times for the football state championship contests. The University of Central Oklahoma will serve as “Championship Central” for all seven of the 11-man title games at Wantland Stadium.

Kingfisher 4-H donates to food pantry

The Kingfisher County 4-H Club gave a large food donation to the Jacket Food Pantry on Nov. 18 as part of its Citizenship & Community Development Project. The 4-H kids spent October, National 4-H Month, gathering non-perishable food items to give to the program.

HPS Eagle Event Center walking trail opens soon

Local Meals on Wheels seeking donations

Kingfisher Meals on Wheels is seeking local donations to help finance its mission to feed hot, noon meals to the area’s elderly and homebound residents. Currently the program serves meals to 35 senior citizens on four routes three in Kingfisher and one in Okarche.
