Kingfisher’s Rena, Kenneth Tollison celebrating 45th wedding anniversary

Longtime Kingfisher residents Kenneth and Rena Tollison will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary this holiday weekend. The couple were married July 5, 1975, in Yale and have lived in Kingfisher since 1984. Kenneth was a pipeline locator for DCP Midstream before retiring in March 2014.

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: June 23 - Identity theft. Officers Justin Trumbley, Justin Conner, Aaron Schlegel, Charles Trout, Dustin Brodrick and Travis Gray took 15 reports of identity theft.

Robert Kughn

Robert Allen Kughn was born Feb. 11, 1947, to Ray and Thelma “Dollie” Kughn. He passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020, at the age of 73. Robert married Wanda Adams, who he loved so dearly. Together they had two sons and two granddaughters. Robert served in the U.S. Army and worked at Temtrol.

Dillon Mitchell

Dillon Bradley Mitchell, 25, of Cashion, died Saturday, June 27, 2020, in Oklahoma City. Dillon was born Nov. 30, 1994, in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Cashion High School in 2013, where he found a love for powerlifting and football.

Robert ‘Bob’ Westfahl

Robert Dale “Bob” Westfahl was born June 22, 1926, in Perry to August Franklin and Florence Gertrude (Mildfelt) Westfahl. He passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at St. Katharine’s Drexel Retirement Center in El Reno at the age of 94.

FREEDOM FEST 2020

A family of current and former military servicemen and women and a veteran of four deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan will lead the Kingfisher Freedom Fest Parade beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at Briscoe Sports Complex.
