A Kingfisher softball team just wrapped up a season during which it went through league play and three tournaments without a single loss. The Kingfisher Lady Jackets last Saturday thumped Guthrie 12-0 to win the Cimarron Valley League 10U Tournament championship in Guthrie.

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: June 15, 8:00 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33. Alexis Perez Navarro, 19, Kingfisher, driving a 2019 Ford Mustang, was traveling through the construction zone at the intersection of U.S. 81 and S.H. 33.

Hennessey board buys new mower for parks, adds to lifeguard staff

Hennessey’s town board approved purchase of a new mower for the parks department during a special meeting Friday, June 26. The Scag Tiger Cat 2 mower from McPhail’s Mower & Magneto of Crescent cost $7,470. The board also hired another certified lifeguard, Noah Moery.
