4-H billboards on display throughout Kingfisher County

Kingfisher County 4-H members have created billboards that will be displayed throughout the county during October, which is National 4-H Month. This year’s billboard theme was “Oh the Places You Will Go With 4-H.” Cloverbud members are pictured above with their billboard.

Rain, cooler temps arrive

Mother charged after crying baby removed from locked car

A Piedmont woman was charged last week with felony child neglect after allegedly leaving her four-month old baby sleeping in her car while watching a soccer game at Briscoe Park Sept. 28. Valerie Kay Stuart, 35, 546 Cimarron Road, Piedmont, was arrested Thursday and released on $5,000 bond.

The Kingfisher High School marching band and color guard had a day that ranged anywhere from “Excellent” to “Superior” last week. The Pride of Kingfisher and color guard took part in the OSSAA’s Northwest Regional Marching Contest in Enid last Wednesday.
