For the third time in the program’s history, Hennessey had to settle for basketball silver Saturday evening after a 52-42 loss to Rejoice Christian in the Class 2A championship game at State Fair Arena.

Kingfisher’s win over Heritage Hall in the Class 4A boys basketball championship game wasn’t even the first for the Jackets over the Chargers that day.

Kingfisher’s third straight trip to the Class 4A state title took an almost anti-climactic route through the semifinals. The Jackets were never challenged Friday when they downed sixth-ranked Holland Hall 58-32 at State Fair Arena.

Kingfisher High School will be hosting its annual baseball camp next week. The camp will be held March 18-20 at Homier Field in Kingfisher Park. It runs 1-4 p.m. each day. Campers will need a hat, glove, cleats, helmet and water bottle or money for concessions.
