Dover SB accepts bond bid

The Dover School Board accepted a bid from Community State Bank (Dover branch), in association with UMB Bank, N.A., Kansas City, Mo., Monday for the purchase of $540,000 Combined All Purpose Bonds of 2019. The winning bid was the lowest of four bids submitted with an interest rate of 2.

Reform healthcare; do not expand welfare

Over and over, Oklahoma has wisely rejected “Obamacare’s” Medicaid expansion. But like a recurring nightmare, proposals just keep turning up. Now it is Senate Bill 605, which passed a legislative committee on Feb. 18.

KMS cheer wins Game Day state championship

Kingfisher Middle School announced their arrival last week as they won the Junior High Game Day State Championship at Newcastle High School. KMS took third last year in the first-ever Oklahoma Junior High State.
