Oklahoma State announces honor rolls

A total of 6,700 students were named to the 2018 fall semester honor rolls at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, including 2,747 students named to the President’s Honor Roll for earning an “A” grade in all their courses.

Extension plans cooking workshop

Kingfisher County Extension is hosting a workshop this month that will help incorporate healthier alternatives for your favorite recipes.The workshop will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at the Extension Office.Lindy Hoel will present at the workshop.

Liam Farrar

Liam James Farrar, beloved son of Daniel and Alyssa Farrar, gained his wings on Feb. 27, 2019. He was born Aug. 30, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Liam adored his big sister Sadie, chewing on his toes, bath time and being snuggled by mommy and daddy.

The funeral for Max Eldon Miller, Jr., 65, is 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at First Baptist Church, Crescent, officiated by John Lovett. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey. Max was born at Kingfisher on Feb. 5, 1954, to Max E.

Edward Kretchmar, Jr.

County opens oil, chip bids; approves pipeline crossings

Kingfisher County commissioners opened two bids on oil and chip work on county roads Monday, then tabled action for comparison study.The bids, from Vance Brothers and Circle C Paving, involved a wide array and options regarding oil types, rock sizes and single and double applications.
