Cashion secured most of the top honors when District A-3 football honors were announced last week.

Ben Harman was named the district’s most valuable player.

Offensive MVP went to Landon LaGasse and Nick Nabavi was the defensive MVP.

That trio was pivotal in Cashion’s 14-1 season in which it won the Class A state championship.

Along the way, the Wildcats went undefeated in district games.

Harman threw for 4,124 yards and 52 touchdowns while tossing just nine interceptions during the season.

He added another 779 yards and eight touchdowns rushing.

LaGasse had 89 catches for the Wildcats. A whopping 29 went for touchdowns.

His receptions covered 1,692 yards.

Nabavi ended the season with 72 tackles. He had 10.5 tackles for a loss.

He added 1,613 yards and 20 touchdowns rushing for the season.

Four other Wildcats were also picked for player of the year honors at different positions.

They included Mason Manning at wide receiver, Joey Wilson at offensive line, Jackson Vandruff at defensive line and Gavin Phippen at safety.

Manning had 104 catches for 1,830 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Wilson helped pave the way for an offense that averaged 38.5 points and 454.5 yards per game.

Vandruff had 95 tackles, including 20.5 for a loss.

Phippen added 46 tackles.

Other Wildcats earning all-district first-team honors were Seth Gilbert at wide receiver, Gulianni Martinez at offensive line, Aiden Williams at defensive line, Bryce Burke at linebacker and Max Brown at defensive back.

Crescent had four Tigers named to the all-district first team.

They included Tayon Johnson at running back, Stone Fisher at offensive line, Jake Phelan at defensive line and Luke Descher at linebacker.
