SWOSU BULLDOGS – They’ve been teammates all their lives and that fact won’t change in college. Cashion High School’s Jonah Jenkins (seated left photo) and Vance Raney (seated right photo) signed last Tuesday to continue their basketball careers at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. The two, who are cousins, not only have played alongside at Cashion during the entirety of their careers, but also for the same Oklahoma Eagles AAU program. Together, they helped Cashion qualify for the last three Class 2A state tournaments, including a state runner-up finish in 2022. Raney was named to the OCA all-star team for Class 2A as well as the OBCA 2A all-star team. He earned Three Rivers Conference all-conference honors during his senior season and was the MVP in 2021. He is pictured with, standing from left, brothers Vaughn and Vincent Raney, and parents Cara and Stephen Raney. Jenkins also earned all-conference and the OBCA and OCA all-star honors. He was also selected to the OCA All-State team. Standing in the center behind him is his mother, Rebecca Jenkins. Also standings are sisters, from left, Kourtney Chambers, Lauren Jenkins and Brenna Jenkins and brother Luke Jenkins. [KT&FP Staff Photos]
