Dover was in the zone.

More like “a zone” on defense and eventually it became too much for Cimarron to solve. The Longhorns held

The Longhorns held their visitors to eight second-half points - including none in the fourth quarter - to earn a 42-33 come-frombehind win.

“We just stepped up on defense,” said third-year coach Aaron Norton after his team erased a threepoint halftime deficit.

Cimarron ended a backand-forth first half with a late run to go up 25-22.

Jacob Ocanus and Payton Harmon both had big buckets during that burst and had eight points apiece for the Blazers at halftime.

However, the duo combined for just eight points in the second half.

Meanwhile, Dover was able to reclaim the lead with a 15-8 run in the third quarter.

Kolten Shaw scored 10 points during that run. He ended his day with 13 points.

Up by four, Dover then held the Blazers without a point over the final eightplus minutes.

The Longhorns sealed it with Emory Norton’s 3-pointer late in the game.

It was Norton’s third trey of the night as he totaled 10 points.

The Longhorns were led by Damion Turner, who poured in 17.

Turner scored eight of Dover’s 11 points in the second quarter and had 13 at halftime.
