Dover won the first matchup.

Fort Cobb-Broxton got the one that mattered most.

The Lady Mustangs closed with a 10-0 run Monday to beat Dover 44- 36 in a Class B regional consolation championship game at Coyle.

It advanced Fort Cobb-Broxton to the area tournament this week and eliminated the Lady Longhorns from the playoffs.

It was Dover celebrating just a week earlier when it beat the Lady Mustangs in overtime to win a district championship.

That set up Dover against No. 12 Paden in a regional winner’s bracket game last Friday.

After going up 26-21 at the half, the Lady Longhorns scored just 12 points in the second half.

Paden pulled away late for a 57-38 victory.

Cheyann Gunns scored 15 of her game-high 21 points in the second half.

Katelyn Harviston sparked Dover’s first-half surge with 14 points, but was scoreless in the second half.

Karlee Harviston finished her night with 15.

Dover bounced back Saturday to thump Agra 65-41.

The Lady Longhorns scored 40 of their points in the second and third quarters.

They hit seven of their 10 3-pointers during that stretch.

Rylee Buck nailed three of them as part of her 12 points.

Katelyn Harviston scored nine during that stretch and led the team with 15 points.

Karlee McNulty scored 13 and Kamree McNulty 10.

Karlee Harviston nailed a 3-pointer about midway through the fourth quarter Monday to give Dover a 36-34 lead over Fort Cobb-Broxton.

But the Lady Longhorns didn’t score again.

The Lady Mustangs’ Jinger Bare quickly answered with a bucket in the post to tie it.

As Dover’s shot continued to miss the mark, Bare and Zoey Brown went a combined 10 of 12 from the foul line over the final 1:54.

Bare scored 26 points, all in the final three quarters.

She netted 11 in the second quarter as Fort Cobb-Broxton turned a deficit into a 20-17 halftime lead.

Karlee Harviston paced Dover with 13 points.

The Lady Longhorns wrapped up their season with a 20-9 record.
