KHS faces tall order at 4A district duals

Kingfisher wrestlers will make their first shot toward the postseason on Thursday.

Albeit a long one.

The Jackets will take part in the District 4A-2 dual Thursday at Tuttle.

Joining KHS and the Tigers will be Newcastle and Douglass.

Each team will take part in duals with the other three beginning at 3 p.m.

The winner will advance to dual state.

Tuttle is the prohibitive favorite to do just that.

Not only are the Tigers unbeaten in duals and ranked No. 1 in 4A this season, but they’ve won the last 12 dual state championships.

Dual state is Feb. 11-12 at State Fair Arena.

Regionals for individual spots at state will be the following weekend.
