Top teams move into Three Rivers semifinals

The top seeds in both brackets easily advanced into the semifinal round of the Three Rivers Conference Tournament being hosted this year by Fairview.

On the girls’ side, Cashion held Crescent to just two points in the first half before winning 48-17.

The first-half defense saw Cashion build a 23-2 lead before coasting in the second half.

Neely Tilley-Bedick led all scorers with 13 points.

Brook Shelly scored 10.

Raychel Johnson scored five points to lead Crescent.

Cashion advanced to play Fairview in the semifinals.

Fairview defeated Hennessey in their quarterfinal game.

On the bottom half of the bracket, Okarche was set to play Watonga in the semifinals.

The defending champion Lady Warriors dispatched of Oklahoma Bible Academy 62-32.

After falling behind 7-6 in the first quarter, Okarche outscored OBA by at least eight points in each of the final three quarters.

Emma Stover scored 13 of her 15 points in the second half to lead the way.

Sophie Vandendriessche scored 13 points while Madison Owens poured in 12.

Watonga knocked off Thomas to advance to play Okarche.

Cashion, HHS boys win

The two-time defending champion Cashion boys dominated Crescent to get back to the semifinals.

The Wildcats won 63-30 in the quarterfinals and played Fairview in Friday’s semis (after press time).

Up by nine points after a quarter, Cashion went on a 24-6 second-quarter run to put away the Tigers.

Vance Raney buried six 3-pointers and scored 19 points.

Cashion also got 10 points and 11 rebounds from Landon LaGasse and 10 points from Austin Frazier.

Ethan Ryans scored 10 points for Crescent.

Second-seeded Hennessey also won going away as it downed OBA 66-35.

Juan Dominguez had the hot hand throughout as he nailed six 3-pointers and scored 22 points.

The Eagles also got 12 points from Jael Torres and 10 from Chris Tovar.

They led 22-9 after a quarter and pushed it to 34-13 by halftime.

Hennessey played Watonga in the semfinals.

Watonga knocked off Okarche 52-45 in their quarterfinal game.
