After winning its district and regional competitions, the Okarche sixth grade quiz bowl team is headed to area. The team defeated Hennessey and Watonga in district play to advance to regionals. Okarche scored 910 points at the regional on Jan. 24 to secure a place in area competition.

It’s an election year and members of the Kingfisher County Republican Party are preparing to make their voices heard.In anticipation of the upcoming primaries and general election, the group gathered for the Kingfisher County Republican Convention on Tuesday, Jan. 30, to elect new officers.
