April sales tax checks up for 5 towns, county

Kingfisher County and five municipalities in Kingfisher County had gains in their April sales tax checks, according to the monthly report of the Oklahoma Tax Commission.Kingfisher County’s April sales tax check totaled $644,039.10, up from $391,846.19 in April 2022.

Grant paves way for new county bridge

A federal grant is going to lead to a new bridge in Kingfisher County.Heath Dobrovolny, chairman of Kingfisher County’s board of commissioners, announced the grant award on Thursday.

County 4-H speech contest winners

The 2023 Kingfisher County 4-H Speech Contest was held April 4 at the Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene.The contest had 17 4-H members and Cloverbuds competing in prepared speech, demonstration, 4-H and American pledge as well as grab bag.
