The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of West Zellers Avenue.According to the report, a resident stated a neighbor had repeatedly knocked on his door loudly multiple times.

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: February 6, 8:30 p.m. - At 1708 S. Main St. Pedro Anaya, 31, Spearman, Texas, driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, was parked in a parking space in the Holiday Inn Express and Suites parking lot.

Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.Joining the local civic group were Merrin Evans, Avery Davis, Natalie Dick and Taylor Mills.Evans is the daughter of Justin and Alicia Evans.

CORRECTION

A Kingfisher High School choir student was misidentifi ed on Page 3 of the March 26 edition.One of the members was identified as Amy Beagle.It was, in fact, Amber Beagle who was a part of the junior varsity ensemble that earned a Superior at the district competition and advanced to state.

Hennessey Police Department officers have recently filed the following reports:– A 67-year-old man contacted the police department six times, starting at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, and ending at 4:34 a.m., Wednesday, March 1. Each time he reported that someone was breaking into his home.

-The search for a new superintendent has begun for the Lomega school district.The school’s board of education accepted the resignation of Steve Shiever during a special meeting on March 16.Shiever, in his sixth year at Lomega, has accepted the superintendent’s position at Pond Creek-Hunter.

Gilmour’s Good News

The news kept getting better and better earlier this month at the bid opening for the planned renovations at Gilmour Elementary School.Several of the low bids on the 19 different packages were under projections and some of them by considerable amounts.
