A 15-year-old Kingfisher boy died Thursday evening after apparently accidentally shooting himself in a friend’s pickup truck, according to a Kingfisher Police Department report.

Local 4-H service project benefits foster children
Kingfisher County 4-H clubs worked this year on a service project that supported youth in foster care.The Parents/Volunteers Counsel challenged each club to put together as many “bags” as possible.The service project ran from Jan.1 to March 29.

Open house Saturday at Hennessey Fire Dept.
Hennessey firefighters will serve up their signature barbecue from 5-7:30 p.m. Saturday during their annual open house at the Main Street station.The menu includes pork loin, fried potatoes, baked beans and ice cream. There is no charge for the meal, but donations are accepted.
