Hennessey to fill vacancy Feb. 8

A member of the Hennessey Board of Trustees will be elected Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, by municipal voters.Filing is Dec. 6-8 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Election Board office in the Kingfisher County Courthouse.The board has been operating with only four members since the resignation of Keith Meek Aug.

Mandate suspension announced

In the wake of a federal appeals court decision calling a halt to its controversial vaccine mandate for companies with at least 100 employees, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced it was suspending enforcement of the rule.

County man dies in crash

A Hennessey man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle accident 13 miles west of Hennessey just before 4 p.m. Saturday. Nov. 13, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
