Hudson Deterding is the son of Greg and Cortney Deterding. He’s 8 years old and will be in the third grade this fall. This is his third year as a Cloverbud. His favorite part of being a Cloverbud is learning new things. He likes to ride his hoverboard and play video games.

Dover teachers were awarded nearly $4,000 in grants from the Dover Public School Foundation at the May awards assembly.

Kingfisher County Extension hosted a Big Clover/Little Clover workshop for the youth of the community enrolled as a Cloverbud (ages 6-8). The workshop was held on June 17 at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds.

Camp 4-H WILD! was held June 23-24 at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds. The day camp consisted of 4-H members from Blaine, Garfield and Kingfisher counties. While at camp on the first day, the campers participated in workshops taught by 4-H teen leaders from each of the counties.

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: June 7, 11 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Mitchell Avenue. Shawn Kincheloe, 44, Kingfisher, driving a tractor with brush-hog (owned by the City of Kingfisher), was mowing the median of U.S.

Fostering isn’t for everyone, but helping out can be. That was part of the message the executive director of Lions Meadows of Hope gave to members of the Kingfisher civic group recently. “Not everyone can be a foster parent - or should be,” said Bryan Larison.

Kingfisher County farms are getting a “clean shaven” look as the 2021 wheat harvest rushes to a successful close. Combines have clipped many wheat fields that had been covered with the developing crop since last fall.
