Rotary Club welcomes six Kingfisher seniors

Six Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.Joining the local civic group were Lola Iniguez, Croston Martin, Breahnna Hux, Joseph Homier, Haleigh Eaton and Vann Burgess.Iniguez is the daughter of Amber Mueggenborg.

Blair named to elite OSU honor

Chloe Blair of Kingfisher has been named by the Oklahoma State University Mortar Board as a Top 10 Freshman Woman for the class of 2024-25.Blair learned of the honor Monday evening.Students are selected based on the criteria of scholarship, outstanding leadership and community service.

Seven companies submitted bids for the much-awaited construction of the Kingfisher Fire Department to be built on the east side of Highway 81, on the 1500 block of South Main Street.

Book club meets next Monday

Pro-life event next month in Hennessey

A 38th annual pro-life event is slated early next month in Hennessey.Life Chain will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at the corner of U.S. Highway 81 and State Highway 51.The local event will coincide with similar ones taking place across the U.S. and Canada at the same time.

Farmerettes hold September meeting
