Outreach by KPD officers a priority, chief tells Lions

Community outreach has been at the forefront of David Catron’s brief tenure as chief of the Kingfisher Police Department. “We started a program here to get more community-oriented and do more community policing,” said Catron on Thursday when he spoke to the Kingfisher Lions Club.

Health educator speaks to KCREA

Kingfisher County Retired Educators Association heard from a new local health professional at the group’s most recent meeting. Taylor Shelton, the health educator at the Kingfisher County Health Department, addressed the group Sept. 2.

Traffic accident

The following traffic accident is being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:August 18, 3:57 p.m. - At Miles Avenue and Main Street. Christina Brodrick, 57, Kingfisher, driving a 2015 Ford Escape, was backing from a parking space on the south side of East Miles Avenue.
