What started as a show of support for the local oil industry last Saturday night turned into an impromptu classic car show, quarantine escape and trip down memory lane. Local resident Cherie Evans got the wheels turning with a social media post.

Kingfisher County commissioners agreed Monday to follow Gov. Kevin Stitt’s guidelines on reopening county buildings and services to pre-COVID-19 levels.

It’s still far from business-as-usual on county Main Streets, but the economic reopening continues this week. Salons, spas, pet groomers and other personal care businesses were able to reopen beginning last Friday.

Jacob Woody and Matthew Stone were among those from Kingfisher County to pick up a number of postseason basketball honors over the weekend. In publications by The Oklahoman, Woody was named to the Little All-City first team and the Class 2A all-state team.
