It’s time to assess in Kingfisher County
Kingfisher County Assessor Carrie Turner reminds citizens that Jan. 1 through March 15 is the time to assess.
Where will appraisers be?
The Kingfisher County assessor’s field appraisers will be visually inspecting property in Okarche, Cashion, Piedmont, Crescent, Covington, Okeene, Cimarron and Drummond this year.Field appraisers will be in a marked vehicle,” said Assessor Carrie Turner.

Schwarz voted BOCC chair
District 2 County Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek and County Clerk Jeannie Boevers attended their final meetings in their official capacities Monday.Both are retiring after long careers in county government effective Tuesday.

KHS names December Students of the Month
Kingfisher High School has named its Students of the Month for December 2024.Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and more.

Kingfisher County Court Clerk Lisa Markus issued marriage licenses recently to the following couples: December 16: Scott Craig Wingfield, 48, and Rita Ann Holmes, 46, both of Kingfisher.
County OHCE has annual Fall Council meeting
Kingfisher County OHCE members met Nov. 12 for their annual Fall Council meeting at the Scissortail Crossing Events Venue.Queen Bees OHCE served as the host group.Dot Miller, county OHCE president, presided over the business meeting and conducted the flag salute and OHCE Creed.

Rotary Club hosts 4 KHS seniors
Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.Joining the local civic group were Austin Poarch, Myles Harrison, Cale Leck and Ryan Sanders.Poarch is the son of Trey and Hope Poarch.
