Hennessey names new child librarian

Hennessey’s newly-hired children’s librarian, Macee Smith, “is ready to read and do activities with the children of our town,” said Public Library Director Steven Mitchell.“Macee remembers coming up to the library when growing up here, and it being a place she loved,” he added.

Hennessey man dies in auto accident in Illinois

A Hennessey man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a vehicle accident in Illinois.Clark County (Ill.) Coroner Jeff Pearce confi rmed to mywabashvalley.com that Hayden Ryel, 20, was the victim in an accident on Interstate 70 between Martinsville, Ill., and Marshall, Ill.
