Robison bakes way to victory in Best of Wheat contest

The warm, earthy aroma of toasted wheat and yeast wafted through the air as Oklahoma’s top bakers competed with their prize-winning recipes to be named the “Best of Wheat.”The 2024 bread baking contest, hosted by the Oklahoma Wheat Commission, was held at the Oklahoma State Fair on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Museum hosting cast-iron cooking class

The Chisholm in Kingfi sher will host a cast-iron cooking class next month.The class is from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9.Students will learn to care for and cook in castiron cookware in this casual class.Participants will create a Dutch oven delight and participate in a group meal.

Oklahoma’s highest court for civil matters is the Oklahoma Supreme Court. The court has seven justices, one chief justice, and one vicechief justice. The court selects a chief justice and a vice chief justice every two years.

NOC president speaks at Rotary

Diana Watkins, Northern Oklahoma College (NOC) president, left, was the featured speaker of the Kingfisher Rotary Club last week. Watkins said NOC has an enrollment of over 3,000 students with campuses in Tonkawa, Enid and Stillwater.
