The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:December 28, 6:45 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Mitchell Drive.Frankie Anderson, 74, Hennessey, driving a 2019 Mack semi-truck, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 near Mitchell Drive.

County land designated as Centennial Farm

Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer Lynda Ozan announced that an Oklahoma Centennial Farm award has been presented to the owners of a Kingfisher County farm.Donald and Cheryl Snethen and Carol Anderson own the Biehler-Snethen Farm located in the vicinity of Omega.

Extension Office to offer sewing class for adults

Kingfisher County Extension will host adult beginning sewing project classes for individuals who want to learn how to sew.Classes will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Feb. 10 and Feb. 17.The classes will focus on a different project and participants will complete a project by the end of month.

County, state braces for potential snowstorm

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Kingfi sher County and most of the state beginning Tuesday and continuing into 6 a.m. Wednesday.The forecast called for accumulations of four to seven inches in some locales with isolated heavier amounts.
