Michael Thomas Schoelen passed from this life and into the arms of Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021.Michael always had a passion for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were his favorites.He was known for his infectious smile and kind and compassionate spirit. He was truly a compassionate man.

Celia Cordelia Hudson Barnard passed away Aug. 15, 2021, at the age of 65. Celia was born on Sunday afternoon, April 29, 1956, in St. Anthony’s Hospital Oklahoma City to her father Rev. Jesse Walton and mother Iva Nell Hudson.

Carol “Sue” (Oliver) Williams, 84, of Woodward, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, in Norman. Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 16, at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Shannon Davis officiating.

Nelson Henderson Sickler passed peacefully from this earthly life at home with his beloved wife on Aug. 17, 2021. Nelson was born on Aug. 27, 1950, in Oklahoma City, to Edward and Alice (Quinn) Sickler, of El Reno. He spent his childhood and early adult life in El Reno.

The funeral for Michael R. Meek, 72, was Friday, Aug. 20, at First Baptist Church of Hennessey officiated by Rev. Don Herren. Burial followed at Lyon Valley Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. Michael was born at Bridgeport, Texas on Sept. 27, 1948, to J.C.

James A. Crist, 80, passed away July 31, 2021, in McKinney, Texas, from pre-existing conditions exasperated by COVID-19. He was born Oct. 10, 1940, near Hitchcock, where he was raised on the family farm.

Flora Nell Reid Deatherage, 82, resident of Altus, passed away July 22, 2021, at her home. Flora was born on Christmas Eve 1938 to John and Helen Reid of Altus. She was raised on the family farm north of Altus, homesteaded by her great-grandparents in 1888.
