Three girls teams from the Three Rivers Conference advanced to the semifinals of the Coyle Invitational with wins on Thursday. That includes top-seeded Okarche, which handed Mulhall-Orlando a 72-39 defeat in teh quarterfi nals.

Girls A dominant stretch in the first half led to, perhaps, Kingfisher’s most complete game this season. The Lady Jackets went from seven points down to leading by 13 at halftime and carried that momentum Tuesday to a 57-40 victory over Blanchard at the APB.

Kingfisher Rotary Club hosts 4 KHS seniors

Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests last week of the Kingfi sher Rotary Club. Joining the civic group were Hayden Stafford, Staegan Turner, Clayton Abercrombie and Riley Myers. Stafford is the son of Jeremy and Shawna Stafford.

Some friends my age can’t believe I don’t watch TV in a recliner, and that I don’t play along with the Wheel of Fortune game show. I’ve never gotten into that show and I prefer the divan instead of recliner. Then I joined my peers in the lifestyle of the semi-retired. I set my own hours.
