Talking bond issue with Rotary, Lions

Members and guests of two Kingfisher civic groups last week had the opportunity to ask questions and gather information on a proposed bond issue for voters in the Kingfisher Public Schools district.

Willms family reunion held

The annual Willms family reunion was held Saturday, July 13, at Interbank in Kingfisher. The Joe Willms family were hosts for this event. About 60 people dined on a catered meal at noon. The oldest in attendance was Ervin Willms of Kingfisher and Isabella Bliss was the youngest.

CHS CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES

The county jail isn’t the only new construction taking place south of Kingfisher. Those driving down U.S. Highway 81 may have noticed cranes on the west side of the highway as a much taller structure is going up.

Hazel Wojtuck

Hazel Lorraine Wojtuck, 98, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019, in Kingfisher. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 29, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville. Hazel retired from Phillips Petroleum Company in 1989.

Three jailed on drug trafficking charges

Three people face felony drug trafficking charges after Kingfisher County sheriff’s deputies allegedly found 20 grams of methamphetamine in their vehicle during a July 5 traffic stop.
