Sheldon ‘Scott’ Kershner

Sheldon Scott Kershner, 57, passed away peacefully in Tulsa on March 31, 2025, with his wife by his side.He was born Dec. 4, 1967, in Dallas, Texas. He was the youngest of four children. Scott graduated from Seiling High School and grew up in Seiling and Canton.

Snider’s 77 qualifies for 4A state golf

Raegan Snider is officially a four-time state qualifier. The KHS senior shot a 77 on Wednesday in a Class 4A girls regional at Kingfisher Golf Course. That placed her fourth individually and automatically qualified her for next week’s state tournament in Shawnee.

Dover’s Sam Wood had his career-best round Thursday as he shot a 1-under par 71 at the Bluejay Bash held at Lake Hefner Golf Club’s North Course.Wood was one of 20 golfers to shoot under-par on the day.His score tied him for 14th out of 105 individuals.
