Deadline approaching to pay property taxes without penalty

Kingfisher County property owners had paid 14.33% – $6,746,381 – of the $47,080,145 certified for collection for calendar year 2025 as of Thursday.County Treasurer Robin Rother reminded that the deadline to pay without penalty is Dec. 31.The penalty for delinquent tax is 1.5% per month.

The University of Oklahoma’s first-ever home playoff football game may have cost Kingfi sher High School a basketball game. It certainly led to its postponement.Kingfisher was scheduled to play at Heritage Hall on Friday night.

Cashion’s girls suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday and they’ve got a Cashion alum partly to blame.Garber steadily pulled away from the Lady Wildcats for a 44-27 victory in the championship game of the NextEra Energy Resources Invitational.

KHS rebounds from loss, claims 3rd

Kingfisher’s boys were locked in and ready for Dale.The first half showed it. Then the third quarter happened.The Pirates proved why they’re nearly unbeatable at home and Denton Forsythe showcased the skills that make him one of the best players in the state.

Wrestlers win silver bracket at Newkirk

A 66-18 victory over Hennessey allowed Kingfi sher High School to bring home the silver bracket championship from last weekend’s Newkirk Dual Tournament.After both teams went through the first round of pool duals, the Jackets and Eagles were placed in opposite pools in the silver bracket.

Snowden is MVP as Lomega D’s up Fairview

Lomega normally buries foes under a ton of points.The Lady Raiders claimed another Canton Invitational championship with defense.After surrendering 17 points in the first quarter of the championship game against Fairview on Saturday, the Lady Raiders put on the clamps in an eventual 48-37 victory.
