Sen. Lankford to Visit Kingfisher

U.S. Sen. James Lankford will visit Kingfisher Tuesday for a “community conversation.”The event will begin at 9 a.m. upstairs at Pioneer Telephone’s Engineering Conference Center, 315 East Robberts Avenue.

Board starts interim superintendent interviews

Board of education members gathered for nearly five hours Monday night as they began their search for an interim superintendent.All but the opening and adjournment of the special meeting were spent in executive session as board members interviewed two potential candidates.

Meet Bailey this Saturday

Emmanuel Lutheran Church is hosting a meetand- greet for its new comfort dog.People will have their chance to meet Bailey from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the church.Bailey is a 3 1/2 yearold female golden retriever now serving as the church’s comfort dog as part of its outreach ministry.
