Pollard named to Oklahoma Hall of Fame

His patients know him as Dr. Pollard.His fellow 1969 Hennessey High School graduates call him Barry.Now, much of the state knows him as Barry Pollard, M.D. Member of the 2023 class of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.Pollard and seven others were announced as members of this year’s honorees last week.

Kingfisher Rotary hosts 5 KHS seniors

Five Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.Joining the local civic group were Ivy Hartman, Caden Kitchens, Mayce Gibson, Lily Fletcher and Courtney Butts.Hartman is the daughter of Chad and Leah Hartman.

Francis scholarship awarded to Jimenez

Brenda Jimenez has been selected as the recipient of the 2023 John A. Francis Scholarship.The $1,000 scholarship is presented annually by the Kingfisher Rotary Club.A 2019 Kingfisher High School graduate, Jimenez is the daughter of Candelaria Jimenez and Pedro Jimenez.

Memory Lane volunteers offering help Memorial Day

Just look for the gazebo.As is their tradition, volunteers with Memory Lane Inc. will be on hand at this year’s Memorial Day service to provide their own service of sorts.Members will be handing out water and helping visitors locate graves.
