Rotary Club hosts 6 KHS seniors at recent meeting

Six Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.Joining the local civic group were Cale Reagan, Cooper Henley, Scout Snodgrass, Wyatt Long, Kasen Blair and Avery Snider.Reagan is the son of Jason and Carma Reagan.

Company donates materials pit to county

Kingfisher County commissioners accepted the donation of a road material pit available to all three county commissioner districts from O&S Land, LLC, Monday.The pit is located 12 miles west and one-half mile north of Kingfisher in District 3.The donation includes 20.

Some areas see over 3 inches of rain

Welcome rain arrived beginning Monday in Kingfisher and Kingfisher County.Local Weather Observer Steve Loftis recorded 1.15 inches on Monday and another 1.06 inches on Tuesday, a total of 2.21 inches, bringing the rainfall total for August to 2.84 inches and the year-to-date total to 28.31 inches.

Accident claims life of Dover student

A 12-year-old girl from Dover died in a rollover accident Saturday evening.According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, four juveniles were in a Polaris side-byside about one mile south and west into a property just before 5:30 p.m.
