Cashion’s Taylor tabbed to coach Small West girls

The basketball games at the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Games later this year will have a strong Cashion flavor on the sidelines. Not only will the Small West boys be coached by Cashion’s John Hardaway, but the Small West girls will be coached by Andrea Taylor (pictured right).

Girls golfers 2nd at Hennessey

Ryan Scammahorn’s career-best round helped Kingfisher to a runner-up finish Thursday in the Hennessey Lady Eagle Classic.The freshman shot a 96 to place 15th out of 99 golfers competing at Turkey Creek Golf Course.

KHS soccer gets home sweep of McLoud

Kingfisher was all but eliminated from playoff contention Tuesday when it lost 6-4 at home to Astec Charter.The Jackets took some of that frustration out on McLoud on Thursday.

Okarche wins Turkey Creek

Okarche was the team champ at last Friday’s Turkey Creek Invitational golf tournament in Hennessey.The Warriors shot a 329 to best Crescent by 16 strokes.Hennessey placed third with a 347.Three different Warriors were among the top 10 individuals.

Kingfisher shot a 416 last Thursday to take third place in the large school division at the Mooreland Girls Invitational at Boiling Springs Golf Course in Woodward. Senior Raegan Snider (far right) fired an 84 to tie for first place with Grace Meacham of Clinton.

Lady Jackets 2nd at Chisholm meet

Scout Snodgrass brought home four medals - including two golds - to lead Kingfisher High School to a runner-up finish at the Chisholm High School Track & Field Meet.The junior won the 800 meter run on Friday and was also a part of the gold medal-winning 3,200 meter relay team.
