Lady Jacket grapplers runners-up at Hub City

A pair of champions led the Kingfisher High School girls to a runner-up finish at the Hub City Classic wrestling tournament in Clinton.Rylee Hamil won at 115 pounds and Delissa Evans at 140 pounds.They were joined by two other medalists as KHS scored 46 points.Hinton won the team title with 56.

The wins keep on coming for the Hennessey girls basketball team.The Lady Eagles grabbed their seventh straight victory Saturday by holding off Balko/Forgan 36-33 during the Skordle Festival at the Eagle Event Center.

Buck tops 1,000 career points; DHS sweeps Senior Night

Rylee Buck was recognized before - and after - Dover’s dominant win Friday.The Lady Longhorns won their third straight and ninth out of their last 10 by defeating Gracemont 75-28 at home.Buck was one of five seniors recognized prior to the game as it was Dover’s final regular season contest.

Okarche teams get TRC sweep at Crescent

Okarche squeaked by Crescent by two points in the semifi nals last weekend en route to the Coyle Tournament championship.The return date just four days later wasn’t nearly as competitive.The Lady Warriors methodically outscored Crescent in every quarter last Tuesday to earn a 58-32 road win.

Jackets ‘Cache’ in on late surge

In a game of runs, Kingfi sher had the last - and biggest - one.The Jackets outscored visiting Cache 12-0 during a pivotal fourth quarter stretch Tuesday to earn a 50-40 victory.The victory was Kingfisher’s sixth in its last eight games as the Jackets improved to 11-7.

KJH girls win 2 wrestling titles in 2 days

Two days.Two tournaments. Two cities. Two championships. That’s what the Kingfisher junior high girls wrestling team accomplished last weekend as they brought home team titles from both the Clinton Middle School/Junior High Hub City Tournament and the Yukon Ladies Invitational.

Lady Eagles stun Cashion on the road

Hennessey’s momentum didn’t stay behind in Yale.Three days after winning the Yale Tournament championship, the Lady Eagles grabbed their biggest win of the season.Katie Kennedy and Emma Copeland combined for 32 points Tuesday as Hennessey beat 2A’s 14th-ranked Cashion 49-43 on the road.

Lady Jackets put away Cache early

A two-win Cache team wasn’t supposed to give the fifth-ranked Kingfi sher Lady Jackets much resistance Tuesday in their matchup at the APB.And it didn’t. The Lady Jackets got their fifth straight win as they downed Cache 63-13.

Gold medals from Kaden Willms and Channing Dunn helped the Kingfisher junior high wrestling team bring home some hardware.The Jackets were runners- up at last weekend’s Clinton Junior High Hub City Tournament.Willms won the 119-pound weight class while Dunn was the champ at 126.
